After school clubs

Our after-school clubs provide a safe and welcoming environment where children can relax, have fun, and enjoy a range of engaging activities after the school day.

Enrichment

At Lift Unity City we are committed to developing young people who have a determination to succeed, a love of learning, pride in their academy and a strength of character. We are passionate about our pupils becoming empowered, global citizens who have a determination to improve the world as active and informed citizens.

We firmly believe that it is our responsibility to provide young people with a range of personalised experiences that allow them to understand their role in contemporary Britain, to build their cultural capital and ultimately to become the community leaders of tomorrow.

At Lift Unity City we believe that extensive enrichment develops character and is an integral part of our Excellence in Personal Development offer. Informed by pupil voice, we offer a wide range of activities including sports, games, creative arts, reading and IT. All pupils have the opportunity to participate.

Through enrichment, we continue to actively encourage all pupils to challenge themselves: to learn new skills and uncover hidden talents, to develop skills and work with new people.

External Providers
In addition, we work with external providers to provide further opportunities for our pupils which extend far beyond the classroom. These include Youth Focus, Kidz Kabin, Curious Arts, Tees Valley Music Service and many more.
Enrichment Offering
Our enrichment offer ensures that pupils are motivated to participate in a comprehensive programme of activities that enhance their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development as well as proactively improving physical and mental wellbeing through competition, play and enjoyment. Underpinned by our vision and values, our enrichment activities support pupils to build resilience, self-belief and curiosity; enabling them to develop and discover their interests and talents, preparing them for future success.
Sporting centre of excellence
Students selected to be part of the Sporting Centre of Excellence commit to additional after-school training sessions to help them on their way to becoming exceptional. Sessions include specialist one-to-one and small group coaching and training alongside strength and conditioning programmes.
OUR COACHES

We are absolutely delighted to have formed a partnership with JT Elite Performance Coaching and Fitness.

Statement from Joe:

JT Elite Performance has been running since 2019, working with professional athletes, semi pro, academy and grassroots footballers. The aim behind it is to give athletes as much as a platform possible to help them achieve their potential. Working in the gym they focus on S&C, SAQ work and on the pitch in a 1-1/small group environment only to ensure players get as much detail as possible from sessions.

"I myself went to America on a Scholarship to play Football and Study. I studied  Sports Science to allow myself to understand more about performance. This is where I found my passion for both the gym side of performance and coaching in general. With the modern day athlete, there's much more that goes on than just turning up on game/competition day!". "We aim to make sure that each athlete that works with me or the coaches, learns and develops but most importantly enjoys themselves. It's more than just a session, we want to help athletes get better at their sport and become highly educated themselves!"

Cancellations

If you need to cancel a booked session, please notify the school by 2:00pm on the day. Cancellations made after this time may still be charged.

Behaviour and safety

We expect all children to follow the school’s behaviour expectations while attending after-school clubs. Continuous unsafe or unkind behaviour may result in a review of the child’s place at the club.

Healthy snacks

Children are provided with a healthy snack and a drink during each session. Please note that most schools follow a ‘no juice’ policy in line with healthy eating guidance.

For more information or to book a session, please contact the school office.
